The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (CMGC) is located in the uptown second ward government district. This is where you’ll find all the government services and information for the City of Charlotte Mecklenburg County. The CMGC houses the elected officials and staff of the Charlotte City Council, Mecklenburg County Commission and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board.
