McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square is a great showplace for live performances; it has a seating capacity to accommodate 700 people.
This prestigious theater was originally the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church. In 1980, it opened to the public after careful and detailed restoration. With its Byzantine dome and stained glass windows, this historical and elegant venue makes each event a very memorable and fulfilling experience.
McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square is named in honor of the late, legendary jazz pianist Loonis McGlohon of Charlotte.
