The Uptown Charlotte Overstreet Mall is not a traditional mall as you might think; but rather, it is a winding passageway of specialty shops and eateries – mostly geared toward fast food options for the busy workers and professionals in Uptown.
Charlotte Overstreet mall is a series of passageways above street level connecting to various buildings in Uptown Charlotte Center City. There are multiple entrance points. A few popular ones are by entering through the Bank of America building at the corner of Trade and Tryon. Another way is by entering through the Wells Fargo building complex at Tryon & 2nd.
Although it’s kinda hidden and lacks traditional mall shopping appeal, it does make a great alternative to walking to your destination when the weather is bad instead of battling the elements outside.
Some of the tenants in Uptown Charlotte Overstreet Mall include Merle Norman Cosmetics, Dean & Deluca, Just Fresh! Market, Blackberry Store, Center City YMCA, Belk Express and several other services – including salons, shoe repair, dry cleaning and of course plenty of places to eat!
